great location but needs more breakfast options

The proximity to Penn State was incredibly convenient for our visit. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly during our stay.

The location was very convenient for our

visit to Penn State, making it easy to get around. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming us right away. I would mention, however, that the breakfast area felt cramped during peak times, which made it a bit uncomfortable.

During my stay, I noticed the outdoor sign for the hotel was completely obscured by trees, making it difficult to spot when arriving. On top of that, the $75 pet fee left me a bit shocked, higher than I expected, especially with no microwave in the room, which would have been a nice addition. Additionally, the renovation noise from above was noticeable, detracting from the overall experience.

Hampton Inn State College was impressively clean and well-maintained. The staff were welcoming and eager to assist, making me feel valued. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was varied and consistently replenished throughout my stay.

More accessible seating in dining area needed.

I really loved the variety at breakfast, especially the fresh fruit and tasty waffles they had! The pool was a great spot to unwind, and I enjoyed chilling on the sun loungers after a long day. Just a heads-up, I found the bed a bit firmer than I prefer, but it didn’t take away from my overall experience! 😊

The breakfast had a good selection, and I enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookies around 4:00 pm. The staff worked hard to replenish the food quickly, which made the experience pleasant. I appreciate how the seating area was kept neat despite it being a busy time.

The breakfast area was warm, which made it uncomfortable at times. Also, parking was available but the location was not within walking distance of the university as I expected.

This place was a perfect match for a brief pause in State College with outstanding value for money. The complimentary breakfast was really good and gave us a nice start to our day. Book early for game weekends to avoid high prices.

The musty hallway was off-putting, yet the bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep.

I had the best time in my cozy King Room with Sofa Bed! The spacious layout made it feel like home, and the comfy bed gave me the perfect night's sleep. Plus, the breakfast spread was amazing—a healthy and delicious start to my day!

The Hampton Inn State College was a fantastic stay for our family. The room was spacious with two comfortable queen beds, perfect for our kids. The bathroom had plenty of toiletries, and we loved the complimentary breakfast, which had a nice variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, making us feel right at home.

State College's dining scene is the real deal! We hit up Texas Roadhouse and man, those rolls are a game changer. The hotel's location was clutch too, super close to Penn State and other eateries. Plus, the cleaning crew was friendly, making our stay more enjoyable.

The exterior looks a bit worn out, which had me second-guessing at first. Although it was quiet, there were noise nuisances like a loud neighbor and a hairdryer blaring early in the morning—definitely needs some soundproofing love.

Room was clean, modern, and surprisingly nice inside! Loved the comfy beds and the location was perfect for shopping and attractions.

Well, if you like a little hair-raising entertainment, the strands in my room will keep you on your toes!

Comfy Stay with Great Breakfast

I had a nice stay, room was super clean and comfy. Best free breakfast ever! Staff were helpful and friendly. Only thing was, there wasn’t a microwave in the room unless you ask for one. So kinda annoying if you need leftovers heated up. Overall, loved the experience, just minor hiccup.
